A bulbous cephalopod body lifts itself on dozens of tiny, muscular tendrils. Above it rises a torso of a woman—but skin slick, mottled, and faintly bioluminescent. Instead of hair, a writhing crown of tentacles hisses like snakes. She drips slime that dissolves bone.
