What are you doing New Year's Eve?
- We spend the week between Christmas and New Year on a little bit of downtime
- Aoife gets promoted to Baroness
- I make inroads with getting Griff to look after the freehold (he counts as a retainer 1)
- Agnes and Moira go to an event at Mick Donnelly's ministry fundraiser at the shelter
- They go with a cover of a queer couple, which they pull off
- They conspire a means of revealing Agnes' badge, so he knows she's part of the bureau and they end up getting his card
- Agnes and Moira hear one of the homeless people say something about " that guy died" and they spot a few figures shambling up the lawn towards the building
- Aoife goes to a party at her new law firm
- Bert Grimaldi (the producer for the movie Blaze is on) is there
- He's a client of the firm when he's in town
- Another client, Julian Stone, arrives and Aoife recognizes him as an associate of her father
- He doesn't look like he's aged a day since the last time she saw him over a decade ago (he's got to be a vampire)
- With Stone is a young law student, Annie Hanover, who likely is looking to do some networking here
- Another client, Julius Langston, also has a cold handshake
- Almost certainly a vampire, and likely quite an old one
- He and Julian Stone know each other and don't seem to like each other
- Clarissa Whitmore swoops in drunkenly and ostensibly rescues Aoife from the old white men
- She's a client and makes a comment along the lines of "I'm sure I look a lot like Julian on paper" and Aoife gets a sense that she's possibly more like Merit, Ashmore, and Paul (so a mage)
- She comments on Aoife being similar to the two other changelings at the party
- She meets Dominic Wells, a private eye that does work for the firm sometimes
- Evidently he knew a lawyer named Caleb Bloom, who was her ward Christopher's dad
- Bert Grimaldi (the producer for the movie Blaze is on) is there
- Planning on going as Blaze's plus one to a party hosted by Tate Chanter at his house for actors, musicians, and other celebrities
- Potential ridiculous stories to bring up:
- Being Emilio Estevez's stunt double on Freejack
- Missing my old agent who was so good he once got me to the second round of consideration to be Kevin Hart's stunt double on Central Intelligence
- Blaze brings her urn, disguised as an avantgarde purse since the place is evidently going to be decorated with a ton of marble statues
- We determine on showing up appropriately late…and definitely show up later than intended (started at 8:00, we arrive at 9:20, which is later than we though)
- We arrive just partway through Killer Mike's set
- I unintentionally upstage Blaze when we arrive, with people loving my Buster Keaton costume
- Sandra finds us and starts showing Blaze around and I of course tag along
- We meet Anna Garcia (as in from Dropout) who we don't recognize but is in the movie too and is very nice
- Blaze tries to sprinkle water from the urn on as many of the statues as she can
- Donovan Glover notices her doing it to one, but writes it off as her being high
- At 10:00 Chanter Tate comes onto stage after Killer Mike's set ends and announces the murder mystery escape room thing is starting
- Potential ridiculous stories to bring up:
